In the Media

The QUE proReader caters to our audience: people who are busy, active, mobile, time-starved, and consume content at a great clip. The proReader gives them the full content experience and new capabilities to stay ahead.

Less Weight, More Resolution

Featuring a plastic electronic backplane, the QUE proReader was significantly lighter than other e-readers on the market. Its rugged yet thin design, combined with high-resolution and high-contrast displays, offered a reading experience that many at the time considered superior to color displays, particularly for extended reading sessions.

State of Flow

The QUE proReader featured a minimalist interface that fully utilized its high-resolution e-ink display, enabling users to easily access, read, and annotate content. Streams of subscription content were seamlessly integrated, keeping users up-to-date with their latest preferred publications and enhancing the overall reading experience.

Documenting the Design

In collaboration with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and the software team, interaction flows and screen designs were developed for each device state. These included the home page, document viewing, access and management, document markup and editing, calendaring, and a catalog of intuitive gestural touchscreen interactions, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience across all functions.
