A Large-Screen, Lightweight, Powerful E-Reader Built for Business

Purpose-built for professionals, the QUE proReader offered seamless access to emails, calendars, documents, and subscription content in a lightweight, shatterproof form. Optimized for PDFs, it featured the most prominent plastic touchscreen of its time and earned an IDEA award for its innovative design.

A minimalist interface fully utilized the high-resolution e-ink display, enabling smooth reading, annotation, and navigation. Lighter and more durable than competitors, the QUE set a new benchmark for business e-readers.

In collaboration with designers and engineers, interaction flows and screen designs were created for all core states—home, document viewing, markup, calendaring, and intuitive gestural controls—ensuring a cohesive and efficient user experience.

Impact

While the long-term success of the QUE Proreader was disrupted by the launch of Apple’s iPad shortly after the QUE Proreader debuted, it was recognized as a top-tier product at CES.
